What’s your biggest Magento pet peeve? We asked this question over a year ago on our blog. Today I reread the post’s comments. It seems like the same issues could still be regurgitated.
A driving goal for Elias in 2010 is to build tools that allow Magento storefronts to sell more and Magento developers to do more. So I’m resubmitting our original question with a new spin:

If thinking in broad terms, it would be the addition of designer-friendly and comprehensive documentation. I don’t find styling Magento difficult in itself anymore, but as soon as I want to do something more involved than moving something to a different place on the same page I seem to hit a wall. But maybe this is just the nature of such a framework.
More immediately, the one thing I would like improved is the erradication of a particular bug which I’ve found out about today involving a bundled product with custom options being ordered twice in the same order. The simple products from the second instance of the bundled product get collected into the first instance, making it difficult/impossible to tell how products should be customised.
If you’d be interested in fixing it for me as a job, please let me know as I’m supposed to be laucnhing the affected site soon. I thought it might be up your street as you’ve done a module involving configurable bundled products.
Cheers.

Great thoughts, David. I just emailed you direct about the bug-killing gig.

I personally would like the ability to use the “product alerts” on the frontend for configurable products. This would rely on the inventory levels of the associated simple products but it would be helpful to notify customers when their favorite product becomes available again.
